Joshua M.
Private tutor in Tuscaloosa, AL
Education
I studied at the University of Alabama from 2010 - 2014. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Early Childhood Development. I have been a Spanish tutor for several organizations including Tuscaloosa Board of Education, Tuscaloosa One Place, and Cross Cultural Solutions. As English is my first language I know and understand the difficulties presented in learning Spanish and the many confusing rules that may or may not translate directly to English.
Experience
I have spent a considerable amount of time in Spanish speaking countries. I spent one month studying abroad in San Lorenzo, Spain. I spent another month volunteering as an ESL teacher in Lima, Peru, as well as, two weeks exploring in Mexico. In doing this I had to learn different dialects, become accustomed to a variety of teaching methods, and met a variety of people from around the world.

Hobbies
Exercise and healthy eating are a key aspect in my life. I do yoga, and workout daily. I love to mountain bike, swim, explore, and hike. I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Feb. 2015 and it was amazing! Aside from physical hobbies I have a strong passion in studying brain development in early childhood years. I am constantly researching relevant materials and would love to publish something someday.
