I studied at the Western Carolina University and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I have taught college-level statistics for the past nine years. I enjoy this subject because it is a math that is used every single day by millions of people. Statistical concepts will be used within just about every job out there. For example, nurses use statistics when they measure weight and take the blood pressure of their patients. I believe that everyone, no matter what field they plan to enter once they join the workforce, can benefit from having an understanding of basic statistic concepts. Every student will be able to take what they learn from the material and find a way to apply those concepts to not just their career, but their life in general as well.Some of the additional subjects that I am well versed in include statistics, AP statistics, and elementary and basic math.In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, weight lifting, and trying new and exciting dishes. I also enjoy a variety of outdoor adventures, as well as working out at the gym. I also enjoy watching a lot of movies, as long as they can make me cry, laugh, or simply think more critically.
