Experience
I am a tutor from Huntsville, Texas, and I have a great enthusiasm for mathematics and teaching. I tutor mostly in the math subjects of pre-calculus, multivariable calculus, calculus 1 through 3, algebra 1 and 2, and trigonometry. My math tutoring experience includes three years of working with students at Lone Star College at the North Harris campus. While tutoring students at this institution, I also gained valuable teaching experience. As a patient and persevering tutor, my desire is to see students progress and do well in their coursework. With this as my goal, I try different tutoring approaches to help students understand the math subjects or content areas that may be causing them problems. I usually try to explain the specific math topic in a variety of ways until I see that students "get it." Presently, I am a student at Lone Star College and expect to earn a bachelor's degree in mathematics. After receiving this degree, I intend to get a master's degree in mathematics. Because I want to teach future generations of brilliant scientists and mathematicians, my career plans are to become a college or university math professor. In my spare time, some activities that I am interested in are racquetball, 3-D animation, and martial arts.
