I graduate Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude from Drake University (GPA 3.95) with degrees in Journalism and Political Science. After completing my education at Drake, I earned an M.A. in Political Science from Washington University in St Louis. During my time at WashU, I presented papers at the American Political Science Association and Midwest Political Science Association Annual Meetings. While at WashU, my course work included six semesters of statistical methods training.
Experience
During my graduate course work, I worked as an Adjunct Instructor in WashU's University College. I taught Introduction to American Government to undergraduate and night-class students. During my undergraduate course work, I served as an Honors Orientation Facilitator. In this capacity I taught First-Year students in a small-group (10 students) section that was designed as an orientation to the Drake's Honors Program. In addition to these experiences, I managed to be successful in the classroom while also competing in intercollegiate athletics. I competed in Track and Field at Drake University for four year, earning three varsity letters.
